Station type of work - This stations Area of Operations
is located 2 1/2 hrs. south of Casa Grande; We are a tracking
station, you must work solo, with back up sometimes 45-60
minutes away.
CAG runs four overlapping 8-hour shifts, a new shift starts
every six hours.
An agent starts work at muster, checks out vehicle and
equipment, then drives south to his assigned duty area.
It takes two hours to safely reach the southernmost assignments
(swerving around cows and horses, haha).
So, you actively work the border for about six hours,
and hopefully the NEXT shift shows up...then you can drive
back to the station on Administratively Uncontrollable
Overtime (AUO) for 2 hours.
If no last minute cases pop up, you can go home with 10
hours done. Do this daily, and you keep your AUO pay at
25% max.
But, if one of your apprehensions comes up as a prior
immigration case, or criminal case, or has active warrants,
MORE AUO!
